On October 6 1982, Everybody – the debut single by #Madonna – was released by Sire/Warner Bros Records in the US on 7-inch and 12-inch single formats.

Originally intended to be the b-side to Ain’t No Big Deal, #Everybody emerged from the recording sessions as the stronger choice for release and ended up being featured on both sides of the single and, also, on Madonna debut album.

Everybody was written by Madonna and produced by Mark Kamins.

#ThePowerOfGoodbye is a beautiful ballad about a painful breakup, coproduced by longtime collaborator Patrick Leonard, served as fourth single. In the US, it was released as a double A-side single with Mer Girl, September 22nd, 1998.

«Music» is dirty, casually urgent, as if Madonna walked into the studio, got on the mike and let the machines bump. Check the improvisational.
Music embodies that moment when destiny shoots us into the unknown. You thought Madonna was calculating, but here she’s never been more instinctive.
Music does all this with Madonna’s most radical sonics yet. William Orbit makes “Amazing” live up to its title by conjuring an even sassier spin on the gurgling grooviness of “Beautiful Stranger.” And the six cuts co-produced with French synth weirdo Mirwais madly reference the past while achieving intimate, futurist pop. Her closely miked voice, recorded with minimal sweetening, abandons her recent Evita-schooled operatics for a spontaneous yelp that circles back to her club-belter beginnings.

On September 18 2000, Madonna’s eighth studio album, Music, was released by Maverick and Warner Bros. Records.

The album was recorded at The Hit Factory in New York, the Guerilla Beach Studios in Los Angeles and the Sarm East and West Studios in London.

Madonna adopted a cowgirl/country theme for the album, with the album artwork photographed by Jean Baptiste Mondino.

Madonna's famous “Like A Virgin” performance at the first-ever Video Music Awards in 1984 is one of the most important and most unforgettable VMA performances ever, if not one of the most iconic pop performances of all time.

In September 1984, she was still at the beginning of her career and her self-titled debut had just begun gaining steam and her breakout second album, Like A Virgin, was still a couple of months away. That album would go on to reach 10x platinum status in the U.S., and her performance of the title track at the 1984 VMAs is a big reason why that album sold so well and Madonna became the icon she is and will forever be remembered as.
Madonna delivered the first-ever VMA performance with a rendition of her hit “Like a Virgin” while wearing a white wedding dress and suggestively rolling around onstage—at the time not only was it shocking but it was considered downright scandalous.

With «Evita», #Madonna holds the record for the most number of costume changes in a film. The record was previously held by Elizabeth Taylor for the 1963 film Cleopatra (65 costume changes). In #Evita, Madonna changed costumes 85 times (which included 39 hats, 45 pairs of shoes and 56 pairs of earrings).

“The MTV Video Music Awards turned into a red-hot, all-girl smooch-fest last night as Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera performed a raunchy, bump-and-grind dance routine that ended in explicit, open-mouth kisses. In the eye-popping opening number, Britney and Christina wiggled onto the stage in white bustier wedding dresses and warbled Like a Virgin, just as Madonna did on the 1984 MTV awards show. Then the Material Girl herself sashayed out and began gyrating between the curvy cuties in a black, skintight, Marlene Dietrich-style outfit, singing her smash Hollywood. The tantalizing trio did some pulse-pounding booty bouncing that had them giggling like mad then Madonna and Britney suddenly grabbed each other and enjoyed an up-close-and-personal kiss that lasted several seconds. ”
